Street Style: Flower Headbands


Today is the beginning of a new segment on ATNC! It's called Street Style! It's a segment where I feature people who I come across while out on the streets, {while I'm running errands, shopping, etc.} When I see someone whose style catches my eyes, I introduce myself and ask to snap a picture of them, and then I'll feature them on this segment! I'm usually on the lookout for someone who has an awesome outfit pulled together, or a particularly amazing pair of shoes on, or a to-die-for accessory! The thing I love about this segment is that it will feature real people, not celebrities or models in magazines. This segment will be filled with actual people I come across in my day to day life, who just truly love fashion and find ways to express themselves by what they choose to wear each and everyday.

A couple weeks ago my Mom and Aunt were having lunch and this lovely lady, Rebecca, was their waitress! My Mom and Aunt snapped the first two pictures above and then gave me this Street Style segment idea! {Thanks guys!:}

Rebecca got the peach colored headband at PaylessI honestly didn't even know Payless sold accessories! I also found this headband from Payless, which I love!

The multi-colored flower headband is from Claire'sIt's the perfect place to go if you want to go bold, look like a goddess, or go for a simpler look. You can't go wrong with these adorable headwraps!

Floral headwraps are the perfect accessory for this spring season!

How To Write a Comment


Lately I've been getting questions on how to write comments on blog posts. So I thought I'd whip up a little tutorial on how to do it! It's really simple and easy once you get the hang of it.


#1) Pick the post you want to comment on.


#2) Scroll down to the bottom of the post.


#3) Below "Xoxo, Natalie", you should see info about the post, including when it was posted, and the amount of comments. Click on the comments button.



#4) When you click on the comments, they will all appear. Scroll down past the comments until you see the box below.


#5) When you see the box, enter in your comment where it says "Enter Your Comment Here".
#6) When your done typing in your comment, click the blue publish button. Then your comment will be live on the blog!

I hope this was helpful for people who weren't sure on how to comment on a blog post!

Pinspiration: Neons & Neutrals

Maybe I'm super late on this {and I probably am}, but all of a sudden I've been noticing a new trend emerging, neon & neutrals. I've never been a neon fan. I always thought the colors were obnoxiously bright. {TBH, I just really didn't want to look like a giant highlighter}

But ever since my step mom, Tracy, bought me the top below, I've been opened up to a whole new way on how to work with neons.
 Pairing neon & neutral colors together, balances out the bright hues and makes it a more subtle {but still bold!} look.

I am lovvinngg the outfits people are putting together, like the neon statement necklace in picture #2! pairing that bright of a necklace with neutrals like grey, white and tan is genius.
Oh, and don't even get me started on the dress in picture #3, I'm obsessed, enough said.

This the perfect look for transitioning from winter to spring. You can still wear your winter colors {grey, black, white, etc.} but incorporate spring by adding neon accent pieces to your outfit.

Forever 21 has some fantastic neon statement necklaces this season! I would of bought them all if I could. {#3 is on my must-have list!} Which is your favorite?

Favorite Books


I have a thing for books, especially ones about fashion, accessories, makeup, Jesus, D.I.Y's, and self help books.
I love learning new ways to wear a scarf, or how to master the art of a gorgeous smokey eye.


These are books I read time and time again, and some of them even daily.
Here is my book list {from top to bottom}:

  1. Jesus Calling: A daily dose of Jesus. There’s a little scripture a day for you to read that is guaranteed to uplift you and fill your heart with His love.

  9. 869 New Uses for Old Things: Just what the title says, uses for old things. Tips on how to use everyday items in other ways including a toothpick, dryer sheet, string, and tons of other items.
  10. 642 Things to Write About: Perfect for people who love to write and want to get  their creative juices flowing. With 642 writing prompts you’ll have plenty to write  about.
  11. The Teen Vogue Handbook: Get a look into the fashion industry and creation of the  iconic magazine, Teen Vogue. Some of the world’s top designers answer the 10        most asked questions by people wanting to enter the fashion industry. If you’re        looking into getting a career in the fashion world, this book is meant for you.
  12. Lauren Conrad: Style: My style bible. I go back to this book over and over again to  get inspiration on new outfits I put together. I love everything about this book and  Lauren’s classic style. This is a must buy.
  13. Lauren Conrad: Beauty: After falling in love with LC’s Style book, I naturally got her  following book about beauty. It was worth every penny. She shares on how to  create a natural look, a party look, and every look in between. She not only talks  about makeup but she also shares tips on how to stay healthy and take care of your  skin, nails, and entire body.
  14. Seventeen: The Ultimate Guide to Style: A great tool in trying to figure out your  personal style. They include looks such as boho, classic, girly, edgy, and more.
  15. Seventeen: The Ultimate Guide to Beauty: Shares beauty tricks on how to achieve  your personal look. Whether you like a classic winged eyeliner, or a creamy and  natural boho like eyeshadow, they will tell you how to achieve every look you can  imagine!
  16. Artful Blogging Magazine: One of my new favorite magazines! They feature  bloggers from all over the world and not only help you discover new incredible  blogs but they also give you blog post ideas.

Pinspiration: Palazzo Pants

HEAR YE HEAR YE! I am starting a new segment where I will share my favorite Pinterest Pins of the week, particularly the ones that inspire me! Whether I'm inspired to create a new makeup look, or wear funky patterns together, I will share all my pinspirations in this new segment!

For my very first Pinspiration post I wanted to share a type of pants that I have been obsessed with ever since I got my first pair  - Palazzo Pants! They are loose light weight pants that are a fun statement piece! I love them because they feel like pajama pants but look fancy and sophisticated! I think it's best to wear them with a solid colored top so that you don't have a super busy look going on. As far as shoes go you can wear just about anything with them! 
Wedges, heels, flats, or sandals. It's your choice!
