Sell & Swap Clothes on Vinted

So a few weeks ago I did a huge clean out of my closet. I kept trying to figure out ways I could sell my clothes. I've tried Ebay and people seriously only bid on .99 cent items, and when it costs more to ship the item than your actual profit you might as well not waste your time posting it in the first place. I also tried Poshmark and I liked it but the flat shipping rate was was $8, which was absurd, especially if you bought something like a 2 oz necklace. So after all the disappointment and still 2 garbage bags overflowing with clothes, I finally found Vinted and I haven't looked back since. Just to give you an idea of my surprising success with the app, since I've been selling on Vinted I've sold more items in one month than I did on Ebay and Poshmark combined in one year. I love how easy it is to post, sell and swap items! Oh and transferring the money you made from sales straight into your bank account couldn't be easier. Now you want to be apart of the fun too right? Download the app asap and start posting your unwanted clothes! You'll be amazed at how easy it is to post and sell items in a jiffy.

Don't forget to check out my items for sale!

Kidz Can Design Personalized Jewelry

For Christmas my parents bought me a gift certificate to use at this website called Kidz Can Design. You can send in your artwork and they will make it into a timeless sterling silver pendent. It's a neat way to turn one of you or your kids favorite piece of art into a treasure that will last forever!
Instead of sending in a piece of my artwork, I had an idea to get my mom, dad, step mom, and step dad to all write "I love you" on a piece of paper. I thought it would make such a beautiful one of a kind piece. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. The I love you's turned out so clear and identical to the original signatures on the paper. It will forever be one of the most treasured pieces of jewelry I own.

I could not be happier with my purchase! Thanks so much Kidz Can Design!

LC Lauren Conrad Maxi

I love Maxi dresses. You can wear them to a fancy night out or just around your house, {or is that just me?}. I picked up this maxi at Kohls the other day for only $24! It was 60% off!! It's marked a different price on the website, but I found this dress on the sale rack, so be sure to pop into Kohls and search the sale racks! It may sound annoying, but it's how you get the best deals.

The thing I love most about this dress is the pleated design. It makes the dress look so much fancier and elegant.
You can't go wrong with the colors either, the solid black and grey design make it so versatile. I definitely think this is one of those maxis you could wear all year round!

Oh, and in case you were wondering it also looks great when you're twirling.post signature

Seventeen

Today is my 17th birthday, and naturally my favorite day of the year! Seventeen has hit me a little harder than my previous birthdays. I don't know why, but seventeen just sounds old to me. I think this year it's finally hitting me that I'm not longer a kid, I'm growing up, and it's mind boggling to me that I'll be a legal adult in 1 year. How did I grow up so fast? Where does all the time go?
Aside from my growing up crisis, I have a good feeling about 17. It's the year I'll find out what college I'm going to attend, It's the year I'll embark on my final year in high school (whoop! whoop!), It's a year where I hope to become closer to God, It's a year where I hope this blog will continue to grow, and it's a year for many new memories to be made. I can't wait to see what 17 has in store for me.

DIY: Color Changing Milk Experiment

Happy Friday everyone!
A few months ago I did this fun experiment in Chemistry class involving milk and food coloring! I decided I must share it!
You could do this with your kids, or just by yourself! I did this with my 4 year old brother and he LOVED it. He thought it was magical, ( I did too to be honest).

    Materials:

    - Milk {whole or 2%}
    - Plate {I used a plastic plate, just in case the food coloring dyed the plate}
    - Food Coloring {red, yellow, green, blue}
    - Dish washing soap {I used Dawn}
    - Cotton Swab

    Directions:
  1. Poor milk onto plate, make sure you pour enough to cover the bottom of the plate.
  2. Add one drop of each of the four colors of food coloring  {red, yellow, blue, and green}  to the milk.
  3. Place the droplets in the center of the plate and try to get the colors all close together without mixing them.
  4. Place one end of the cotton swap in the soup.
  5. Place the soapy end of the cotton swab in the center of the food coloring droplets.
  6. Watch the magic happen!!

     If you want to make the concoction look even cooler you can take the cotton swab and mix the colors all around!
