LAST WEEK OF HIGH SCHOOL

I'M FINALLY DONE WITH HIGH SCHOOL!!! It's so surreal to be able to say that. It honestly feels like it's taken so much time and energy to get through the last 4 years. I was not someone who particularly liked high school; I was never the person who played school sports, joined any clubs, or attended school functions. This is something I plan on changing in college, because at the end of the day, you get what you give. As you can imagine, I definitely wasn't one of the ones incontrollably sobbing on the last day. I was the one jumping up and down, dancing, and singing as I walked out of school for the last time.

June Instas + an Update

Holy cow, how is June almost over? This first month of summer has flown by way too fast. But, I really feel like I slowed down and enjoyed each and every day of it. Which is a new thing I'm trying out - savoring each day. During the school year I'm always going a mile a minute, and especially during this past year, I was stressed out beyond belief. So I cannot tell you how nice it has been this past month, to not have any majors plans. I've just been hanging out, sleeping in, watching Netflix too much, and just simply relaxing. It's been glorious.

Even though I did a lot of relaxing this past month, I also got a job! My very first official job!!! At a company called Rifle Paper Co. It's a super cute and artsy company that makes cards, stationery, notebooks, journals, wallpaper, and tons more! Oh, and guess what... today is my first day working there!!

I'm super excited, and nervous, and I had a mini heart attack when I woke up this morning. But I keep reminding my self that everything will be okay. I hope.

And tomorrow my family and I are off to California!!

1 Year Blogaversary

WOW! I cannot believe I've been blogging for an entire year now! It seems like just yesterday I was writing my very first blog post.  This blog has become not only my hobby, but also a full time job. People don't realize all the work that goes into having a blog. A day doesn't go by where I'm not writing new posts, responding to emails, replying to comments, or answering questions. It has been one heck of a roller coaster, with times where I've been in love with it and times where I've almost deleted the blog completely. But overall its been such a rewarding experience, that I wouldn't trade for anything in the world. I've made friends who are literally on the other side of the world from me. I've learned about marketing and graphic design, which has helped me decide what I want to study next year in college.

This blog has opened so many new doors for me and I can't wait to see where this blogging roller coaster takes me next.

I'm a Chameleon

Yes I called myself a lizard. Not in the colorful, scaly, and curly tail way. But In the way that I'm constantly changing my mind, like Chameleons change their colors. As you probably noticed, I changed my blog design again. I know I know, my blog isn't even a year old, and I've already changed the design of it one, two... four times. You probably think I'm crazy but it's just how I am. If you know me or are around me a lot you know I change my iPhone cases at least once a week. I don't know why but I'm just constantly changing mind on what I like and don't like. I get something new and I love it immensely for a few weeks (or months if you're lucky), and then out of the blue I get so over it and have to change it ASAP.

It's sorta a problem, but I'm working on it!! I promise I'll keep this design up for AT LEAST the whole summer (mmm, that's probably a lie).

Can we just take a second and talk about how adorable Pascal the Chameleon from Tangled is?! I was just going to include one picture of him, but I thought he deserved a whole collage for sure. I mean come on, don't you just want to hug and squeeze him, and touch is wittle 2 toed feet (maybe that was too far) ?! Really though, he's seriously awesome in the movie. He's Rapunzels right hand man Chameleon! After I saw him in the movie, Tangled, I really wanted a Chameleon of my own that would sit on my shoulder all day like Pascal! But then reality hit and I realized real life Chameleons weren't even close to being as cute as Pascal, they're actually a little scary looking, and I don't think they really like hanging out on peoples shoulders.

But if anyone has one or is planning on getting one, I'd love to babysit it sometime! :-)

AP Testing Week

Hi everyone! So first and foremost sorry for dropping off the face of the earth for the past couple weeks. Posts have been sporadic, I know, and I've barely had time to answer emails or attend to any of my social media accounts. I' m so sorry! As some of you may know, it's that glorious time of year (not), AP testing season. I've been studying and prepping for the past 2 weeks straight and the week has finally come for me to take the tests. I have Psychology today, Art History tomorrow, and English Friday. After this week is over with, I will not only be jumping with joy but I will also be back to posting regularly!

Notice something different on the blog today? Maybe just one or two things? No. How bout a million different things!!! All Things Natalie Christa has gotten a FULL makeover all the way from the header, to the welcome photo, to the social media icons, to the entire sidebar, it's all new and improved all thanks to my #1 homie Areeba! This girl is freakin' amazing and talented beyond belief! My blog is proof of it!
I'm beyond ecstatic about this new look and new chapter of my blog. I hope to expand it and excel in it even more.

P.S If anyone knows of the magical way to change the color of the title, links, and any of the other blue lettering on this post LET ME KNOW! Areeba and I have tried all day and we've changed the color in the blogger template designer but it doesn't seem to take effect and show up on the actual blog.

An Update + Things That Motivate Me

 *Drum Roll Please*
We have finally moved into our new house!!! Yes, the one we did all the Renovations to this past Summer. I absolutely love the new house to pieces. Sure, we've had a few bumps in the road...the air conditioning conked out on us 3 days after we moved in and then once that was fixed the electricity decided to turn off in 2 of the bedrooms {doesn't that sound like a fun first week in a new house? heck to the noooooo}. But I guess these kind of things are to be expected moving into a pre-loved house.

Ya know what helped me keep my cool through all this shenanigans? A positive state of mind. I know, it sounds a tad cheesy. But things that motivate me to keep this mind set going includes things like the positive posts on The Nectar Collective Blog, the quotes I come across on Pinterest, and the wall behind my desk {I will get to this}! Even if you're not changing addresses like me, everyone has those annoying days like those dreaded Mondays or forever-long Thursdays, {or maybe there just long to me?} everyone could use a positive pick me up.

Quotes That Motivate Me...

One of my daily motivators are the little quotes, pictures, and mementos hanging around my desk. One thing in particular is a photograph of Flagler College, pinned to my bulletin board. It is my absolute dream, to attend College there. When I'm doing homework and working my butt of at my desk, I get stuck or frustrated sometimes at all the work to be done and what seems like such a long road until graduation. Looking up at that picture and thinking about College, motivates me to keep pushing forward and to not give up. Which goes exactly with one of my favorite quotes posted above "Dreams Don't Work Unless You Do", who ever said that was spot on.
