Brother Orange

I found this unbelievable article the other day on Buzzfeed. Once I read it, and fell in love with it, I wanted to share it some how. I was just going to simply tweet about it, but it deserves so much more than that. The story of these two beautiful human beings deserves to be shared a million times and then some.

Go grab a cup of coffee, take 10 minutes, and read this touching story about fate and friendship. It's a long article, but it's worth every second. It's a true testimony to how phenomenal technology is and how it connects us to people all over the globe. You have to read the whole story, it's CRAZY!

Go read the article here!
Let me know what you think.

Eighteen

Today is my eighteenth birthday!! I'm a legal adult!!!!!! Isn't that actually mind blowing. It definitely blows my mind (and my parents mind!) for sure. People keep asking me how I feel about this big birthday. Honestly, I don't think it'll sink in for awhile.

I think what excites me the most about turning 18 is for what it means is right around the corner. It means that my last year of high school is almost over, I'm graduating in less than 2 months, and college is right around the corner!! I remember writing my birthday post last year and thinking of how my 18th birthday and all these big milestones seemed so far away. Now they're all right around the corner and I couldn't be more ecstatic.

Haircut

SNIP SNIP, THERE GOES 8 INCHES! I'm super late posting about it, but I did indeed cut off a whole lot of hair last month. If you haven't noticed, short hair is kind of taking over the world. Recently I've seen countless people chop all of their locks off and I started loving their new hairdos. So for the past few months I've been silently contemplating taking the big leap. Up until this point I haven't ever cut more than a couple inches off. But for some reason, at the beginning of the year, I just had this urge to cut it all, and I'm seriously proud of myself for doing it! I lovvveeee the new cut. My hair feels so soft and healthy. And as a bonus, it doesn't get caught in doors anymore! I was so ready for a change and I'm so glad I did it!

If you're considering cutting your hair or trying out a new hair style, my advice is go for it! At the end of the day, it's just hair. If you end up not liking the new hairstyle, it'll always grow back.
One of my mantras for the year is to step outside of my comfort zone.
Letting go of my fears and cutting 8 inches off was definitely out of my comfort zone, but I couldn't be happier that I did it. I can't wait to continue the year, getting out of my comfort zone one step at time.

Are you contemplating a major cut or new hair style?
